The lofty lands of Cacoonus Maroonus
(Mt. Maroonus Cacoonus) are the areas which serve as the spiritual center
of Sango Jingo. Atop one mountain in particular sits the "Big Hand,"
to which many make pilgrimmages to seek applause, interpreted as approval
for their lives in general, and their bad habits in particular.
It
is felt that the "Big Hand" belongs to the greatest prophetess who ever
spoke DiLingo, Shirley Ellis. Followers of Shirley Ellis are constantly
warned of the great future battle between good and evil, good represented
by herself, of course--and evil by...
Below the higher altitudes dominated by the "Big Hand," there sit the competing and lesser religions of Sango Jingo: The Holy Order of Bozons, the Friable Friars of Frart, the Stutteral Utterals, and the Mucolytic Avengers. An extinct sect, the Worshippers of the Great Impending Avalanche, found their rapture as predicted in holy scriptures which described the ultimate conflict between the glorious voluminous frozen substrate and, representing wickedness, gravity. They are currently on permadisplay in the permafrost at the foot of Mt. Maroonus. Permanently.
The Fraternity of Frickin' Fricatives, Fam the Vam, Sam theTham, Zam the Sham, and Zham the Ham, have tended the "Big Hand" for countless generations.
A
more recent devotion has emerged from the followers
of Roy's Head. Begun by a roving band of head nurses, this religion
is sweeping Sango Jingo and even has some pockets of followers in Iceland.
